This print was created to honor the spirit of Steve Biko who was an anti-apartheid organizer in South Africa in the 1960s and 1970s. His writings aimed to empower the people, especially with his slogan “Black is Beautiful” which served to uplift the people and show them how important their lives were and that they were human beings.
