My sister and I are in the first generation of women to be elementary, middle school, high school and college graduates. Education has played a role in our ability to navigate this society and has played a large role in shaping our lives. I have used what I have learned both in educational institutions as well as through my mentors to continue to fight for more access and justice for my communities.
