The Domestic Worker Art Party will take place on Sunday, August 12th from 11am-4pm at the Eastside Arts Alliance in Oakland. The objective of the Domestic Worker Art Party is to bring our community together to develop and produce the different art components of our upcoming mass mobilization for the CA Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. We hope that workers, employers, allies, and their families will collaborate with local artists to create art that will help us communicate our message that domestic work makes other work possible and now is the time to bring it out of the shadows from behind closed doors. This is also an opportunity for artists who are interested to learn more about our campaign and the experiences of the members of our community. We hope to engage at minimum 15 workers and 15 employers/allies/local artists.
